What is the Red Carpet Peel?

The Red Carpet Peel is an outstanding treatment that will enhance your skin’s natural beauty and give you a youthful radiance, making you look your best for any special occasion. Using a synergistic combination of ingredients, the Red Carpet Peel improves fine lines, wrinkles, and discolorations, while at the same time stimulating the production of collagen, leading to tighter skin and closing pores. It is also perfect for acne and acne scars. As you age, dead skin cells accumulate on the surface of your skin. When light hits such skin, it does not reflect, giving a dull appearance. Exfoliation with the Red Carpet Peel removes this layer and provides a glow to the skin.

What does the Red Carpet Peel do?

The Red Carpet Peel addresses a variety of concerns:

  • Dark spots
  • Sun spots and age spots
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Enlarged pores
  • Acne and acne scars

The Red Carpet Peel can be done on many areas:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Chest
  • Backs of the hands
  • Belly
  • Back
  • Arms
  • Legs

What happens during a Red Carpet Peel?

Before your Red Carpet Peel the area to be treated will be washed and we will take pictures of you to monitor your progress. Then the area is cleaned with special solutions. We will blow cold air on your skin to keep you comfortable during your Red Carpet Peel treatment. Dr. Alex will apply the Red Carpet Peel solution to your skin. You will feel a tingling, itching, or burning sensation on your skin, but this will go away quickly because the Red Carpet Peel contains a numbing ingredient. After the Red Carpet Peel is applied to your skin we will continue to cool the area with cold air to keep you comfortable. After your Red Carpet Peel, we provide a hydrating sheet mask for about 15 minutes to keep you comfortable then clean your skin and apply aftercare products and sunscreen.

When will I see the results of my Red Carpet Peel?

You will see the results of your Red Carpet Peel slowly over time. Dr. Alex recommends a series of six Red Carpet Peels done every four to eight weeks. After that, Dr. Alex recommends a single maintenance Red Carpet Peel every three months. Some people see significant improvement after a single Red Carpet Peel.

How long will the results of my Red Carpet Peel last?

Dr. Alex recommends a series of six Red Carpet Peels done every four to eight weeks. After that, Dr. Alex recommends a single maintenance Red Carpet Peel every three months. This is because your skin slowly accumulates sun damage every day. The first six Red Carpet Peels will treat most of the damage your skin has accumulated in your life. Maintenance Red Carpet Peels will keep your skin looking healthy and youthful.

What should I do after a Red Carpet Peel?

After a Red Carpet Peel, avoid heat exposure, alcohol consumption, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Heat exposure refers to staying outdoors for prolonged periods in the hot sun. Also avoid hot environments indoors such as a hot bath, sauna or steam room. Additionally, avoid hot or spicy foods or drinks such as soup, hot coffee, and hot tea (iced coffee and iced tea are okay). Strenuous exercise is anything that causes you to sweat or become short of breath. Avoid direct water contact onto your face in the shower for a week after y our Red Carpet Peel. Simply collect water with your hands and gently apply it to your skin in the shower. All of these things can cause problems like redness, blisters, and discoloration. Please avoid applying makeup on the area for at least 24 hours after a Red Carpet Peel because your skin will be sensitive. Your skin may be red or swollen for a day or two after a Red Carpet Peel. This is normal. You can apply cold compresses like ice packs on the area treated with the Red Carpet Peel to keep yourself comfortable. Sometimes dark spots get darker before they get lighter. This is also normal and can take up to two weeks after a Red Carpet Peel; this process is slower when areas other than the face are treated. You may see visible peeling after your Red Carpet Peel. If so, do not pick at it. Some people do not see visible peeling after their Red Carpet Peel. This is okay, it is still happening, just on a microscopic level. Apply a broad spectrum (UVA and UVB protection) sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 every day to protect your skin. We will provide you aftercare products to use for about a week after your Red Carpet Peel. Spray your skin with the A E Skin Green Tea Essentials Soothing Chamomile Mist and while the skin is still wet, apply a thin layer of the A E Skin Green Tea Essentials Healing Ointment. This will help with your recovery after your Red Carpet Peel. Do this at least twice a day for a week after your Red Carpet Peel. For faster healing, you can repeat this process as often as every hour while awake. If you have oily skin or acne prone skin, be careful when applying the A E Skin Green Tea Essentials Healing ointment because applying too thick a layer can clog your pores and cause breakouts.
