What happens during a Skin Pen treatment?

Before your Skin Pen treatment, we will take pictures to monitor your progress and apply numbing cream for about 15 minutes. Then your skin will be cleaned with special cleansing solutions. A restorative gel or other topical enhancer will be applied to your skin to allow the Skin Pen to glide smoothly. The Skin Pen will be applied to the entire area and takes about 15-20 minutes per area. Your will appear red and swollen for the first few hours after your treatment.

How often do I need to get a Skin Pen microneedling treatment?

To achieve the best results, a series of multiple treatments spaced
approximately four weeks apart is recommended. After completing your
initial series, maintenance treatments will help sustain your results and
keep your skin looking its best. Dr. Alex will be able to tailor a plan
based on your specific skin goals.

What does Skin Pen microneedling do to my skin?

Skin Pen works by stimulating your skin’s natural healing process. It
remodels skin without the use of chemicals, heat, or injections, leading
to smoother, more youthful-looking skin over time. Skin Pen’s results
come from your body’s natural ability to remodel and renew the skin,

Is a Skin Pen microneedling treatment painful and what’s the recovery like?

Skin Pen microneedling treatments are designed to be as comfortable as
possible. Numbing cream is applied before the procedure to minimize
discomfort, and most patients describe the sensation as light pressure
or a mild buzzing. After treatment, you may experience some redness
and a feeling similar to a mild sunburn, which typically subsides within a
day or two. You can resume normal activities within 24 hours,
making it an easy treatment to fit into your routine.

When will I see the results of my Skin Pen treatment?

Immediate & Short-Term

● Right after the treatment you’ll mostly notice redness and a “sunburn” sensation, which usually goes away within 24–48 hours.

First Visible Improvements

● Many people notice softer, smoother skin and a subtle glow within about 1 week.
● Early improvements in tone and texture can appear as collagen production starts.

Noticeable Results

This is a service to be performed at the A E Skin office in Encino, CA. Patients must be in overall good health. Patients cannot be pregnant, breast feeding, or trying to become pregnant. Patients may not have used Accutane within the last 12 months. New patients must complete medical history paperwork and have a consultation (which may be done on the day of treatment). Patients must sign consent form for each treatment. As with all medical treatments provided by A E Skin, treatment itself if performed at the discretion of Dr. Alex Eshaghian.  If you are a not a candidate for the procedure purchased, your purchase will be refunded within 30 days of your consult. All procedures purchased online must have their corresponding consult booked within two months of the date of purchase.
